| Hello! I am looking for a great au pair or nanny to help me take care of our two liitle boys. Our boys are currently 9 months and 2 1/2 years old. I will be living by myself with the two boys, and the kid's other mom (my partner) comes to visit every month.
One of my children has a speech delay and is speech therapy. One of your duties would be to take him to therapy and follow the therapist's recommendations for speech training and exercising. In every other way he is a normal, healthy toddler. He also communicates with American Sign Language, so we would help you learn some of the basic signs.
I am a midwife and work primarily during the day, but I'm sometimes on call at night, and although my hours are variable, with advance notice I can arrange for you to have plenty of long weekends off.
Chinle is on the Navajo Reservation between Flagstaff and Albuquerque, and is minutes away from Canyon De Chelly National Monument and only a couple of hours from the Grand Canyon. It's in high desert, so it's not nearly as hot as Phoenix, and this is a great place for someone who likes outdoor adventures. It's is in a very beautiful part of the United States and you have the opportunity to experience life that very few people get to see.
Please, please only respond if you are happy, positive, flexible and easy-going. Also, are kids have gone through so many nannies in a short period of time that I really want someone who is able to keep a long-term commitment. This is a good start for someone who wants to go into mission work, as there are many opportunities on your time off to serve as a volunteer.
In addition to salary, I offer a yearly bonus, 2 weeks paid vacation, and $500 a year towards educational expenses.
We know that someone who has done extensive babysitting can be a wonderful childcare provider, even without real nanny experience. But we require at least 1 year of fulltime work experience with the same employer, preferably in childcare. We have had great nannies come, sign a contract, and then leave within a few months because they did not have the ability to stick to a commitment. It's also helpful if you have lived away from home before.
