Au Pair/Nanny job description

We are looking for someone who not only has patience but would also enjoy enriching the lives of our twins (one boy, one girl). Light housework may be requested and can be negotiated as our primary focus is to have someone looking after the kids since they are still under a year old (10 months as of October 2008). They love trips to the zoo, swimming and walks in their stroller so hopefully you do too... October 16th Update: Please note that we have completed the In-depth Interview. Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

Dear Au Pair/Nanny, First off, I'd like to request a bit of patience with us as we are not only new parents, but we are also new to going down the path of possibly hiring an Au Pair or nanny. We will make sure to respond to any emails as soon as possible... While we are still getting somewhat adjusted to life of parenting twins, we have also taken advantage of getting them out and doing as many new things as possible, whether it is just for a walk along the pathways in our neighbourhood, a trip to the zoo or some fun splashing away at the pool (Ethan loves the water!). As we've mentioned before, we are looking for someone who can take an active role in their lives; acting more as a big sister than a babysitter. Someone who can enforce the rules when the time comes, but also be there as a friend to play with. It's a tough balance to maintain for sure, but we are hoping that we can find someone as easy going as we and trustworthy enough to help us watch over our babies. We look forward to reviewing the many profiles on this site and we thank you for taking the time to read ours.
