| Family's Message to Au Pairs |
| Dear Aupair,
We live in a small village of 2000 inhabitants in the North of Holland, about 45 km from our capital Amsterdam and about 12 km from Hoorn, the nearest shopping area. We are looking for a nice, preferably Chinese/Indonesian, au-pair who is fond of children and pets and would like to know our country and us. We have a great au-pair at the moment, but we already need to look out for her follow-up. You might become our 6th au pair, in that way we are an 'experienced' host family. We live together with our retriever dog, amazone parrot, 3 turtles and cat in a split level house. Also part of the family (not living in the house) is our horse. The top-level is for our au-pair. It has got a small but complete room (television, dvd player, VCR, mp3, computer with webcam and permanent connection to internet, etc.) kitchen and shower. Although you will have your own tiny kitchen, we are used to having our meals together in the common kitchen. Of course you will have a bike (Everybody in Holland rides a bike). For those who are interested we have a piano, violin, guitars and you are welcome to play them. Edward is a software-developper, he is Indonesian and born in the Netherlands. I work for a Japanese medical equipment company. We have two sensitive and smart sons to take care for Ruud (9) and Rik (7). They go to a primary school near our house. Needless to say that they are beautifull children. If you are interested in becoming our next au-pair, please don't hesitate to contact! |
