Au Pair job description

We are looking for an experienced au Pair to look after two boys aged 6 and 8. Duties will be to get them ready for and take them to school every morning and collect them from school every afternoon. Supervise and help with homework and prepare meals for children, (breakfast and dinner) put them to bed on occassion. Expected hours of work are 6.00am - 8.30am and 2.30pm - 7.00pm. Some evening and weekend baby sitting may be required but this would be paid extra as would school holiday cover. We also have a dog so walking the dog to and from school would be involved.

Family's Message to Au Pairs

As we live on the Gold Coast in Queensland the weather is always fantastic and we live 5 minutes away from Dreamworld and only 15 minutes away from Movie World/Wet and Wild and yet 25 minutes away from the best beaches in Queensland, Surfers Paradise is 30 minutes away and Brisbane 1 hr, so plenty of opportunity to enjoy a social life, to have fun in the sun and make new friends! As a Live-in Au Pair you would enjoy a double bedroom and your own bathroom, full use of laundry and cooking facilities. You would be more than welcome to join the family in the evening and at weekends if you want although we would not consider you to be "working" during these times and wouldn't expect you to take any responsibility for the children whilst you are off duty. Some weekends we go out in our boat and you would be more than welcome to join us. As you can probably guess from the advert we both work long hours, leaving the house by 6.00am most mornings and arriving home around 6.30/7.00 in the evenings. Our main concern is that the children have the least amount of disruption to their routine and that they have support with their homework during the evenings and feel secure in their home environment.
