Au Pair/Nanny job description

We are a young family (36 & 35), with three boys (6, 10 & 12), living 30 minutes outside downtown Vancouver, Canada. We are looking for a full time au pair/nanny to help with the kids while we are in the process of building a house and to keep the household running smoothly. It will take about 18 months to build the house. We are a very active family that enjoys going out for dinner, traveling, and keeping busy. Our home is modest in size (3200 square feet) and newly decorated. Their is an extra bedroom with a bathroom shared with the boys. Our home is on a very large property (1.3 acres) with a full sized tennis court. The kids are very well behaved, and we are always complimented when we go out, as to how well our kids act. Our family also owns a summer cabin on the beach, just south of Vancouver, and we own a cabin at Whistler Ski Resort, which is walking distance to the Whistler Village. It is important that our au pair is able to travel with us to the USA.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

We are very easy going, and spend lots of time together as a family. If you want to come to Canada, especially beautiful Vancouver, we would make sure you had a great experience. The area we live in is called White Rock, which is close to the beach, with a very active and entertaining beach front. The most important quality in the au pair would be someone that can take initiative and help out wherever needed (without being asked). We want someone that wants to play the role of big sister or contributing family member.
