Nanny's Message to Families

Dear parents, My name is Valeria. I'm 28 years old. I'm college graduated, bilingual (English and Portuguese). I'm very patient and I love making the kids happy! I love to read books, dance and sing with them - although I'm not a good dancer or singer... the babies never cried because of this :) - I also like to go to parks and walk around with them. My experience with children begins in Brazil, when I took care of 2 kids, one of 9 months and one of 2 years old. As a preparation for the 'Au pair' program I also worked as a volunteer in a non-profit daycare center being responsible for the recreation time of children from 4-10 years old. I worked for 2 families as an Au Pair in the Unites States for 1 year. The first family have 3 kids from 16 months to 4 years old. The second family have 2 cute babies of 3 months and 16 months old. Then I worked with 2 great families as a live-out nanny. They have 2 terrific babies: Joseph was 4 months old when I started and Leo was 18 months. I also worked as an occasional babysitter for a 20 months old boy. My main duties were feeding, bathing, preparing meals, nap time, reading books, playing, dancing and singing, going to playgrounds, to the park, to the library. I also taught Portuguese to the kids. What I like to do with kids: I like to keep them active with a lot of different things during the day: reading books, painting, singing, arts and crafts, coloring, playing with toys... I think it's a good way for them to be entertained. I love to make them laugh! I don't smoke. I'm not a CPR certified, but I'm willing to do if you require. I can provide you personal and professional references at your request. I'm looking for a good family to work with and have a good relationship, to learn together. I loved my experience with kids in the USA where I had the opportunity of living a different culture and life style.
