Au Pair/Nanny job description

We are a young professional couple who live in Elkins Park outside of Philadelphia, PA. We have two adorable children - 3 1/2 year old boy, Dominic and 2 1/2 year old girl, Alexis. Since we both work full time with moderate traveling demands, we have decided that we need an additional nanny to help while one of us if traveling, and to help in the evenings with the kids. and a few hours on the weekend. We do have a well behaved dog and two cats in the house. The responsibilities and duties expected of the nanny include babysitting, washing, feeding, cleaning after the kids and running errands. and playing with the kids , etc. We need someone who is relatively organized, outgoing, and wants to be part of our family. Approximately 50 hours per week. ***Please note, we are NOT with an agency and do NOT wish to use one.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

Debbie and I are looking for someone who can be another extension of our family and assist us with raising Dominic and Alexis. We are very open to Au Pairs from other cultures and would prefer someone who knows at least one other language so that the children (and us) would be exposed to other languages and cultures. I speak German and Debbie speaks French. We need to have someone that is able to multitask, very comfortable with young, active children, easy going flexible, organized and can help keep our family in order. We truly want someone to be part of our family. We encourage her to join us for meals, and hang out with us, in front of the fire place, TV, or family activity, even during her off hours. We like to entertain our friends and family quite often with house parties and we would enjoy someone who is outgoing and social. Our Au Pair would be treated as a member of our family.We look forward to meeting you. Please note, we do NOT want to use an agency.
