Au Pair's Message to Families

Dear hostfamily, I am a young woman who loves children very much. I´ve taken care of children since I have been 13yrs old and I love it a lot. I have experience with children from newborn to ages 15, but mostly infant and toddlers. It´s great to see children growing up. I love to help them to have a nice and happy life and to give new expieriences to them. I have two younger sisters (11 and 12 yrs) and I love to be with them, to play with them, to take them out to swim or to the playground or other activities and "adventures". Sometimes I cook or bake with them, what is always a lot of fun. My hobbies are swimming, reading, dancing (ballroom and international folk dances), meeting friends, cooking/baking, I can play a little piano and flute (I like music). I´ve studied social work combined with early childhood education (graduated in 2000) and I´ve worked several times in kindergarden/preschool. I worked for 3 families as an aupair and all were great expieriences. I am currently working as a part-time aupair, but the families needs will change after the summer, that is why I am looking for a new position. I've been working in a preschool for 18 month and I really enjoyed it. I am going to Gradschool and get another degree in Education. I can work part-time or full-time with a smaller child which naps, so I could do homework during nap times. I like to meet new people and to learn more about the culture and traditions of America and to share the culture and traditions of my own country with my host family. I would like to be a member of family, a big sister and a friend and helper for the parents. I am very family orientated. As I have been several times out of my own country, I know that it´s easy for me to live in a new family and adjust to their way of life. I will be glad to answer all your questions.
