Nanny's Message to Families

I love to spend time with children! I'm very spontaneous and fun-loving. I believe that any situation is a chance to learn something in a child's world and that needs to be taken advantage of. I love to encourage a child's curiosity and creativity with all the senses... art, music, reading, playing, etc. I am a devoted Christian (non-denominational) and would absolutely love to work with a family with similar values. I have over 10 years of experience working with young children and look forward to several more years. I've been told many times that I seem to connect with children very quickly and we (myself and the children) enjoy ourselves. I have my Associates in Early Childhood Education. I am hoping to find a live-in position in the Ventura area around the beginning of the year. The greatest reward of working with children is that glow they get when they have just discovered something, when they figure something out for themselves through trial and, perhaps, error. :o) I'm not afraid of "getting my hands dirty" to encourage a child in his or her endeavors! It's an honor to become a part of a family that understands the influence a nanny will have on their children. I would love to work with a young infant/newborn - I have lots of experience and love for that age! I want to be able to find a family that I can become a part of for an extended time.. I feel that children need that commitment - someone they can build trust in.
