Au Pair job description

Family in South East of London is looking for a big sister for our children ! Your main duty will be looking after 8 years old daughter, who is very cheerful and joyful, by sending to and picking up from the local school, also taking our daughter to after school activities (leaning centre, or piano lesson), provide snacks, supervise homework, and also light housework such as daily tidying, weekly house cleaning, light ironing, tidying landrey and support evening cooking for family, so that if you love cooking, your duty will be more enjoyable. Your duty will be Part-time during school days (about 25 -30 hours per week), and Full-time during children's school holidays (summer or Easter etc) depending on our holiday schedule. During school time, you can attend language school or some course while children are at shool (between 9AM to 3PM). On Week-end and Bank Holiday you are free. We are happy, open minded, and international family with 2 children in South East of London, looking for an honest, tidy, reliable, flexible, joyful, and very well organised, child loving Aupair. We do always respect our nunny or Aupair and treat them like a member of family, we do hope you will enjoy life with us in UK, too ! We are searching for an Aupair who can start in January 09. My husband is British, he is a scientist (molecular biology) teaching in , and I am Japanese, working as a manager in Japanese Bank at . We have 12 years old son, who is a bit shy, but very gentle, goes to secondary school, and 8 years old very cheerful daughter, who goes to local primary school. They are both very well behaived and very easy to handle, and fun to stay with ! We live in Sidcup, South East of London/Kent border in very convinient location, suburb of London, which takes only 20 -25 mins by train to central London (local BR station Sidcup, Zone 5), the house is in a very quiet residential area with full of green and beautiful parks. My daughter's school, shops, station are all in walking distance, also local bus stop is just around the corner. There is Adult Education Centre (Local community college) nearby, you can take English course for Aupair with very good rate for EU students, and other courses are availrable, too. Your weekly salary will be GBP65-70 for part-time, and GBP 90-100 for full-time, depending on your experience and perfomance. we would like Aupair who is very well-organised, and can support and enjoy communicating with school, other friends and families well. Both our children used to be looked after by a wonderful British Child Minder for more than 10 years and some Aupairs and Nunnies since they were very young, and we always have very good relationship with them, and they all became like family members. Though our children are educated in England and our main language is English, they speak both English and Japanese, also they go to Japanese Saturday shool, and we have lots of Japanese food, books, videos, toys. All our friends are very international, and we visit each other's country very often and we do love such a international environment. If you are interested in Japan, or would like to enjoy some Japanese culture in England, we are sure that you will love to stay with us. Unlike young babies, our children are very easy to handle and interesting for you. Especially, my daughter loves Nunny or Aupair Girl, as she feels you like a Big Sister.
