Au Pair/Nanny job description

Native Spanish or English speaking female non-smoking Aupair with an open-minded background, good education, curiosity and self-confidence, especially with regard to new experiences abroad. Light housework such as preparing meals for our children, cleaning up the kitchen, going shopping, doing the laundry is requested. The Au Pair should be willing to travel and agree to changing weekly working hours. Approximately 2-3 babysitting a week. Good accommodation in a separate flat in the same building.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

Dear Aupair, my husband (age 39) and I (age 38) are both native Germans. We live in Cologne in a traditional neighbourhood with good shopping facilities. My husband works in Television and I worked as a non-fiction editor. Both I and my husband have a vast family spread all over Germany and Europe; therefore we travel a lot; we love to socialize with our friends at home or elsewhere. Pets we don’t have so far, and I am trying to avoid them as long as our children don’t require them. We are looking for a female non-smoking Aupair + aspirant. You should be, most preferable, a native Spanish or English Speaking Person (French would also be possible) with an open-minded background, good education, curiosity and self-confidence, especially with regard to new experiences abroad. It is our wish that you speak your mother tongue with our kids and stay with us for the minimum of 12 months. In the day-to-day care of our most precious ones (we assume that you love spending time with babies and young children of all ages) you should be confidential, responsible, honest and devoted. What we else expect from you is that apart from looking after our two little daughters (playing with them, bringing them to the kindergarten, going to the playground etc.) you are capable and willing of light housework (such as preparing meals for our children, cleaning up the kitchen, going shopping, doing the laundry). You should be open to travel with us and be flexible in your weekly working hours. It is our aim to build up a regular schedule, but sometimes extra working hours that will be paid, of course, are required. Approximately 2-3 babysitting a week are desirable. The accommodation in a separate little flat situated in the souterrain of our house.
