Au Pair/Nanny job description

The responsibilities will be to prepare breakfast and get the childreng on the children's schedule, the afternoon will be filled with playing, activities, grocery shopping, helping in the kitchen and helping the children clean up. Our schedule is fairly flexible and we are able to find a daily routine that will allow time for the Au Pair's language classes or other interests. Occasional babysitting in the evenings will also be part of the Au Pair's responsibilities.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

Dear Au Pair, we are a German/American family with three bi-lingual children (Erik 5, Kjell 4, Siri 2) living in fairly central cosmopolitan Berlin. We are looking for a friendly, outgoing and independent "big sister" to be a friend and roll model for our children. As we live in a German environment, the only time the children have the opportunity to practice English is when Daddy is at home. You will be there to fill the gap and speak English with the children. Of course you can always choose to speak German with us parents. We love to have people around and our house and yard are often filled with guests, friends and family, for dinner, grilling, parties (birthdays) and enjoying the fresh air. You are welcome to join the family, retreat to your room or enjoy all that Berlin has to offer whenever you feel like it.
