Au Pair/Nanny job description

Seeking a 1 year live-in position. You love children and dogs, responsible, trustworthy, kind and warm and have infant care experience. English-speaking, bilingual in Mandarin a huge plus. Responsibilities: Taking care of newborn baby, between the hours of 8 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday –. This includes feeding, changing diapers, providing cuddles, reading, putting baby down for naps and playing. Other responsibilities include light housework (up to 1 hour day while baby sleeps), light meal preparation, going for walks with baby and dog. We do have a 2 year old daughter in preschool full time, so interacting with her as part of the family and providing care for her if she is home sick would also secondary responsibilities. We are an easy going, fun family that laughs a lot and tries not to take life too seriously. Our hope is that the right individual would become part of the family and enjoy our home with us.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

Hello and Greetings! Thank you for taking the time ot look at our family's profile. My husband and & I are lucky to have a wonderful 2 year old daughter, another baby due in January and a dog (Rat Terrier) names Sam. Brian works in construction management and works very normal hours. I work in sales and when in town work normal hours, but I do have to travel for work (up to 5 days per month). We think we will provide a great opportunity for someone to explore the Seattle area (we live in a great neighborhood with lots of parks, water and activities) and we are close to major public transportation. There is also a light rail system opening in 2009 that we are close to. We have never had an aupair, but are really looking forward to the experience and being able to share adventures together, but at the same time giving you plenty of space and freedom to spend your free time as you wish. Our house is set up to give you two living options. One room would be the 3rd bedroom directly off the kitchen. Your own bathroom would be directly across the hall. We also have a basement that has a living space, bathroom and kitchen. We are open to whichever option you prefer. We hope to speak to you soon! The Family
