| I love being alive and I love being active with children in vibrant, safe places where growth is nurtured. I was a babysitter in homes since I was 12 and with my church throughout high school. I was also a live in nanny in Southern California for 1.5 years. I moved to LA for school and worked as an after-school driver/homework helper for my first year, and in a yoga studio now. I am graduating with a degree in cultural anthropology and Women's Studies from UCLA, but my interests for my future are Naturopathic Medicine, Midwifery and research in health services for immigrant communities.
I have been through some challenging, interesting and ultimately brilliant transitions in life but surely the idea of moving to Europe holds a great magnitude and appeal. I feel confident that I will communicate effectively soon enough (I picked up Portuguese well during my 3 month stay in Brazil). My friends and family describe me as quirky, jovial and yet contemplative. |
