| Dear Host Family
My name is Camila . I am 23 years old and my birthday is on November 10th.
I live in Brazil, in the state of São Paulo; it is the big center of economy of Brazil. The people are hospitable, receptive and careful. I live with my mother, my father and my dog. We have a great relationship and I have a wonderful family. They support me and think it is a great experience.
I’m graduated in a course of Secretary. I can speak French and German just a little bit. I am very responsible, caring, honesty, patient, flexible, loving, energetic, creative, organized, studious, funny and happy. On my free time, I read, listen to music or be on the internet. When I am with my friends, we love to go to the movies. I like to be surrounded by people who I love and respect. I have experience with children between 6 months and 5 years. I work in a school like a tutor and weekend I take care of neighborhood’s children.
My first experience as babysitting was in December, when Bárbara was a newborn (now, she is 4 years old). She was the first child that I took care. I used to be with her on weekends. When I decided to be an au pair in March of 2008, I began a work in a crèche/private school. I read books for the group of children; we paint and play educative games, I help them with the food (feeding), brushing teeth, and others thing that they need. I share jokes and funny stories and sing rhymes and reciting poems.
There, I had some Interviews with a school nutritionist that helped me and told me about some important foods and nutrition for the kids. Plus, I talk with a nurse of the school that teaches me some first aids. She always tells me about the precautions that we need to have with the kids. I think I learned a lot talk with them
I love children, I like playing with them, panting, playing ball, reading books, helping on their homework, preparing the meals, dancing, taking with them.
I’m willing to help with the tasks. Like cleaning the bathroom and kitchen, mopping the floor, doing the laundry, washing / doing the dishes, dusting the furniture, cleaning up my room, making the bed, setting the table, taking out the garbage, making breakfast / lunch / dinner.
To be an Au Pair will be very important to me to learn about a new culture, to live together with an American family, to improve the language, and I will be in contact with kids, whom I love.
I will transmit to my future kids values as respect, dignity and fraternity, and that we can have fun together, and to take advantage of the affection and different culture. I believe that dialogue and respect between the au pair, Host Family and kinds are very important to the success of the relationship.
I don’t smoke, I don’t like to drink (beers, alcohol drinks) and I have driver license. I already have a agency of USA.
I am very anxious. I have many projects and I hope to put them in practice. I can go to USA just in November because I was ordered to work like a board member in elections in this year.
I would like to know some other information about the family. How many kids do you have? How old are they? Do you usually go out on weekends? What do the kids like to do? What are your hobbies?
Thanks for your attention!
