Au Pair/Nanny job description

Friendly fun girl required with mature outlook to look after three children, a boy who is 5 years old and a girl who is 7 years old. We also have a 9 month old baby boy. Both parents work full time so au pair will have sole responsibility for children at times. Light housework will be required, for example cooking for children while parents are at work, keeping house tidy during their working hours, hoovering and tidying up childrens toys, some ironing. A lot of flexibility required and good living conditions with family who are young and friendly and would hope to make au pair feel welcome and part of the family too. We have just had an au pair for the past 10 months and we all had a good relationship.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

Dear Au Pair, We are a young family with 3 adorable and generally well behaved children. The young boy has a lovely nature with a bit of mischief in him and the girl is a real doll who loves girly things, bratz dolls, anything pink, dressing up as a princess! She is extremely sweet and soft natured too. The baby is very good also with an extremely pleasant disposition. I would love an Au Pair that encourages children to do sports, play, paint and make things instead of too much television watching! The new au pair would need to have a genuine love of children and be comfortable in their company. They would also need to be very responsible as minding children is such an important job to entrust a person with. I would hope to find someone who genuinely interacts well with children and who is used to babies of 9 months and over. We have a new home with plenty of space and you will have your own large bedroom with en suite bathroom. We would hope to find someone who feels at home in our house and who loves children. I would require a relatively good English speaker although I expect your English will improve over time. At the moment we do not require a driver but our present au pair feels that it would be an advantage to you if you would like to bring your own car with you for use during your time off. We live 3 miles from the village of Watergrasshill in Co. Cork which is about 19 km to Cork City Centre. Bus service to Cork city. We are looking for a friendly girl preferrably with some Au Pair experience with a mature personality. More importantly I hope you can have fun with the kids.
