Au Pair/Nanny job description

This is actually two part time jobs. The first is for our family taking care of animals at our ranch, You would be responsible for feeding and watching the horses, macaws, emus dogs and cats. Also you would be driving our children to some of their various activities in Malibu. Both of our girls are on All Star soccer teams so we sometimes need help getting them to their games and practices. We also need help with driving them to school sometimes. Housework is required. Total work for this portion of the job is less than 20 hours/week for $100/week. The second job is for a disabled lady who lives on our ranch. She needs someone to drive her to her doctor appointments, cook meals for her and make sure that she eats, keep her small house picked up and clean. She is a wonderful, bright lady who is frail due to health issues. She is working her way back to health but it is a slow process. This job pays between $100 and $200/week depending on the number of hours.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

Dear Au Pair, We are a very happy Malibu family with horses that is looking for someone to help us with our ranch, and also help with driving our beautiful girls to their activities. In addition we need someone who is willing and able to help care for our dear friend who lives at and is disabled. At the ranch you would feeding and looking after our Arabian horses, miniature horses, emus, dogs, cats, macaws. We also need someone who can help with driving our daughters to their activities. We provide a car for you to drive. If you come to be with us, you will have lots of flexibility in your schedule and lots of privacy. We live 20 minutes from in a tiny house. You would be a part of our family but living full time at. You would always be welcome at our beach house also. Part of your job would be to bring our disabled friend down to the beach house once a week. As a family we are very happy people. We adore our girls and spend lots of time laughing. Over the summer I took our girls to Alaska in our van RV, named RiVa because she is an RV. :) We are having travels with RiVa around the wilds of Alaska. We have been through Canada in the Yukon (very exciting!) We went to the arctic circle and I blogged it all. It was a marvelous road trip! The reason we decided to travel with RiVa rather than flying is because we wanted to see animals especially a moose. I had never ever seen a moose.We saw a couple of moose in the Yukon near Muncho lake. We also saw two bull moose in Denali National Park!!!! Way exciting. We also experienced the cold north. Malibu has such a mild climate, we are not used to this. :) When we were in Coldfoot (60 miles above the arctic circle) night temperatures were in the 20s. We have traveled quite a bit. Our girls have been to Thailand, Honduras, Malaysia and Borneo, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Nepal, Canada and Mexico. We want our girls to have a global perspective on life which is why we have always had someone from another country living with us and helping with out girls. Anyway, if you come and stay with us you will have a great time and be able to spend time with horses other critters and our fun family. Understand though that you will live at the ranch and will have animal/house duties there and also duties with the disabled lady who lives at our ranch in a separate residence. We are looking for a special person who is self sufficient, responsible, compassionate especially toward the disabled, a good driver and can efficiently use free time. Malibumom
