Au Pair/Nanny job description

We are looking for a responsible, caring, fun, and creative young woman to help for after school care and light housekeeping. As far as the schedule, we anticipate around 20-25 hours a week. Responsibilities include pick up the kids from school, give the kids a healthy snack, take the kids to and from extrascholastic activities, supervise the kids at home and assist with homework assignments as needed, tide up the kitchen, if time allows. For a live-in, morning duties are preparing breakfast for the kids, pack my daughter's lunch, and take one child to school. For a live- in, afternoon duties also include getting supper started, folding the laundry, making the kids beds and tide up the kitchen. We need an independent, mature person able to make decision in our absence. We want a nice, loving person who likes teenagers and can nurture them while we are at work.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

We are looking for a Spanish speaking girl who can teach us Spanish while we teach her Italian and English. You must have good driving skills and records. If you are looking for a part-time position that allows you to study or have a second job, you found it! Our family will be excited to have you part of our life to take care of our adorable 12 year old son and fun 16 year old daughter. We live in a nice residential area in Baltimore, Maryland, near College of Notre Dame, Towson University and Loyola College. We are looking for a part-time helper, starting any time after September 2008 until beginning of June 2009. We are a family of four. Our two kids are easy going, respectful and well disciplined. They are independent and do not need reinforcement for homework assignments. Each of them has two or three extra-scholastic activities requiring after school transportation. So, I hope you like driving and are an excellent driver! My husband and I are both physicians and work full-time. Our schedule is quite fixed: I work Tue, Wed and Fri (on Thur I work at home), my husband works Mo through Fri. We have a housekeeper and a live-out girl who helps us three days a week with the kids' after-school activities. For your knowledge, three of us were born in Italy so we often speak Italian at home. The kids love sports, nature and play-dates. I love the opera, museums, historical and nature trips. My husband loves jokes, besides his profession and many other activities. His favorite sport is tennis. We love parties, holidays, good food and, mostly our friends and family. We hope to find a young fun, active girl who cares about our kids like a big sister.
