Au Pair/Nanny job description

Seeking part-time child care for our daughter. Great job for college or graduate student seeking flexible work hours. We live just south of the downtown Chicago area, easily accessible by the CTA Orange line; convenient to UIC, IIT, University of Chicago and all downtown schools. We need child care on weekday afternoons from about 2:00 to 6:00. Typically the position requires 16 to 20 hours a week. Our daughter is five and a half years old. She loves music, dancing, flowers, and Cinderella. We need someone who can spend the afternoon with her. We value candidates with experience, patience and enthusiasm for pre-schoolers. We also have one dog and a little light assistance around the house is expected, such as making and cleaning up lunch. Prefer someone with a driver's license.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

Dear child care giver We are an easy going family; focused on the care of our daughter. Of course, we think she is vibrant, funny, imaginative and sweet. Stacia likes to try to do things herself. Stacia will be in kindergarten each morning, we need child care in the afternoon. We expect to find someone who can engage Stacia and focus their attention and energy on her; little else is required. We are looking for someone sincere, caring and creative who is very responsible and mature. Stacia has a serious allergy to dairy and her care givers must be aware and cautious.
