| Dear Future Au Pair,
If you are energetic and creative and prefer to play with cars, do sports and swim over dolls and dress-up then this might be the perfect family for you! We have three wonderful little boys. Jack turned six in June and is starting first grade this September. Ty turned three in March and thinks he is six! Brady will be two in January and is just trying very hard to catch up to his brothers. We also have a big chocolate labrador, Archie. He is 7 1/2 and also loves people and attention :-)
Jack is a very sweet boy and is very artistic but also good at sports. He loves to draw and do crafts and also loves puzzles, computer games, swimming and playing in the snow. He takes a little while to open up but once he does he is your friend forever. Ty is very active. He loves to play outside and swim. He’d be happy if he was always outside! He loves attention and is very competitive with his brothers. Brady is a very happy and loving baby. He likes to watch his brothers and tries to imitate them. He loves walks, playing with cars and going in the pool.
I do work full-time but I work from my home our 2nd au pair now and both have been a wonderful experience. Both girls have really become a part of our family. when I ask my son Jack if he wants to get a 3rd Au Pair or if he prefers a live-out baby-sitter or daycare, he said he definitely wanted another Au Pair because it's like having a big sister to always play with. He also said she had to speak Spanish because he is now learning Spanish in school and wanted to keep learning with her. We are looking for another responsible, fun, caring and loving Au Pair to welcome into our family for the next year or two. Unfortunately, our Au Pairs have had to get back to school but we would really love an Au Pair who can commit to two years if possible.
We need a very experienced driver and swimmer. Our boys are full of energy so we need someone who loves to play hard and be silly. It is not always easy to take care of three boys so you have to be up for this challenge! It can be very fun but, as you know, there are often hard times, which is often the case when taking care of children. But, you will be rewarded with their love which is priceless.
We live in Franklin, Massachusetts. We are about 1/2 way between Boston and Providence, Rhode Island. There is a train that goes to Boston in 45 minutes from our town and an inexpensive bus that goes from Boston to New York in about 3 1/2 hours. The train is two miles from our house. Our local library offers free ESL (English as a Second Language) classes. Our Au Pairs have attended those classes and has met other Spanish Speaking Au Pairs and students from the area. Our Au Pairs are always invited to join us for family time on the weekend but they have also spent a lot of time exploring with their new friends. They also plan weekend trips to New York, Washington DC, Niagra Falls, etc.
I’m from California and John is from Connecticut. I met him when I was working here for EF after I graduated from college. He has family in Connecticut, New York and Brazil. Most of my family is still in California. I have a pretty big family with two brothers, one sister and seven nieces and nephews. I also have a lot of cousins, etc. there. We try to go to California at least once per year. My mother was born in Mexico and raised me speaking both Spanish and English. That is one of the reasons I want my children to learn as well. I am very close with my family and really miss not living near them.
My father passed away a few years ago and I’ve been trying to get my mother to spend more time here in Massachusetts with us. We have recently bought a house that has two sides – one for us and one for her. She will spend part of the time year now. She loves to be around the children but is older and not very strong so she cannot be the only one taking care of them as she can’t lift them, etc. John also lost his father. He died before we were married from Cancer. John’s mother lives in Connecticut and his sister lives and works in Boston. He has another brother who just got married and lives in Arizona.
We are registered with the Cultural Care Au Pair Agency. If you are interested in our family, ask for the family with three boys in franklin, Massachusetts :-) I hope to hear from you soon! Send Tessa a message at |
