| Dear Family,
I am ready to be your au pair! I love to spend time with children, helping them laugh, learn and stay active. I am currently finishing up my 5th and final year of college and will be graduating with a double major in Art and Italian. I am looking for a position to start in 2009, preferably somewhere in Europe, so if you're looking for an English speaking au pair for the new year, I'll be excited to join you! I am trustworthy, organized, responsible, energetic, and fun! I really love to travel and experience other cultures so I am open to relocating almost anywhere in the world. My schedule is flexible and I hope to join a family that is open minded, laid back, and friendly. I love to have a good time and try to find new ways to combine work and play everyday to keep life interesting!
I have always loved animals and nature so spending time outdoors exploring and understanding my environment is a passion of mine that I would like to share with inquisitive children. I have also always been very involved in sports, particularly gymnastics which I competed for 10 years and coached for 4 years. I also have experience playing soccer, volleyball, horseback riding, swimming, skiing/snowboarding, and I love to run and ride bikes. As an art major, I have spent the past few years painting, drawing, and sculpting. I hope I can use these skills to encourage creativity in your children! I enjoy cooking and trying new recipes in the kitchen and I would have no problem preparing meals should you require it. In addition, I try to keep myself organized and I don't mind general clean up/housework. Also love music and played the piano for 15 years. And last, but surely not least, I absolutely adore children! Helping a child learn and grow is truly one of the most rewarding parts of looking after them. I have had a lot of experience working with kids of all ages- as a gymnastics coach, summer camp counselor, babysitter, and mother's helper- and I've loved every moment of it!
Overall, I like to have fun, meet new people, see new things and learn other languages. As your au pair I hope to join you as a friend, mentor, and family member and hope you are looking for just that! I do not currently have any visas or foreign drivers licenses but would be willing and able to obtain these if and when necessary. My mother tongue is English, I speak Spanish and Italian well, and I have a basic understanding of French but am interested in learning new languages as well. Please read my online interview or send me a message if you have any questions or just want to find out more about me! I can't wait to meet you and become part of your family!
NOTE- My e-mail account was recently hacked into and I lost all correspondences with families I had previously been communicating with. I sincerely apologize if your e-mails have gone unanswered due to this unfortunate event but it is finally back to normal. I had originally planned to start an au pair position in September, however, I have decided to take an extra semester at a university in the U.S. this fall. As a result, my starting date has changed, so I hope to meet some wonderful families looking for an au pair for 2009! Thank you and again, apologies to any families that have not heard from me... do e-mail again if you'd still like to discuss our options! |
