Au Pair/Nanny job description

The girls are getting bigger all the time! We need someone who is strong-willed yet soft-hearted to look after our 2 adventurous, curious, fun little girls. Your job includes, but is not limited to, preparing meals for the girls (don't worry if u can't cook well...E's favorite is noodles with cheese!), getting the girls to their various activities throughout the week, such as dance class, gymnastics and ski lessons, and providing entertaining, yet educational and stimulating games and play. We also ask that you speak mostly Swedish with them, as we would really like them to learn the language. You will also be required to keep your living space clean, and cleaning up after the kids, while also teaching them how to pick up after themselves.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

Dear (New addition to our family!) Au Pair, We are a very loving Swedish-American family that has more contact with the "American" part than the "Swedish" part. Our daughters have dual citizenship (with some family still in Sweden) but only hear Swedish from their Papa. We would like them to hear it conversationally as well as one-sided conversations. We consider our aupair a part of the family and not just an employee or a parent substitute. We love, miss and still keep in contact with our former au pairs, and we hope to have a "family" relationship with the next au pair, too. I am a stay-at-home Mama during the spring, summer and autumn, but I do work in the winter and that is when we really need someone to look after our little sweeties. You must not be cheap with hugs and kisses for the girls! They need love and affection, just like their Mama and Papa give them! If you're not willing - or physically able! - to get down on the floor and play with the girls, you are not for us. We need someone who enjoys the snow and cold as much as the warm sun, for we live in a very snowy climate. If you are a skier/snowboarder, we could work something out with a ski pass because we work at and live in one of Colorado's top ski areas.
