Au Pair/Nanny job description

We need a confident self starter who isn't afraid to be thrown in at the deep end. Mornings are spent with getting Noah ready for school and Lukas for nursery, prepare both their lunchboxes and supervise both boys in the bathroom. School and nursery start at 08:00h. Noah walks to school on his own but you will need to bring Lukas to nursery. The rest of the morning is for you but we expect you to help with the household and have lunch ready for the boys. Lukas needs to be picked up from nursery at 12:00h. The main tasks in the household are the washing, ironing, vacuum cleaning and dusting. Everyone does his/her equal share in our family but we need a helping hand who is organised and looks out for the things which need doing. Noahs school finishes at 13:00h. Noah needs help with his homework, mainly reading, spelling and math. You will have to prepare dinner for the two and yourself. Tatjana is usually back from work around 17:30h. Martin works from home and finishes around 18:00h.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

We, that's Tatjana (35), Martin (35), Noah (10), Lukas (4) and two cats are looking for our new Au Pair to start end of August 2009. Tatjana is a Medical Doctor and Martin works as a Project Manager in the travel industry. We live in Essenbach, a small town near Landshut, Bavaria. We are about 70km away from Munich. The train ride from Landshut to Munich is 45 minutes. We live in a good sized 4 1/2 bedroom house. You will have your own room overlooking the garden and use of all facilities of the house. Whilst the parents work does dictate to a large extend the family life, we do make an effort to undertake family activities on the weekends. We like to travel, spend time in the garden, listen to music and go to concerts/opera. Noah loves his football and enjoys going for a swim at the local leisure centre. He is a typical boy with lots of ideas to make your day interesting. He can be a handfull and you will need patience and sometimes very good nerves. Lukas is a very happy and smiley 3 year old and obviously is just starting to develop his own personality. The usual tantrums are showing from time to time but nothing major. It's the usual checking out where the boundaries are at this age. We have justed moved to this area after spending the last 9 years in Britain. So we are discovering the area at the moment but since Tatjana and Martin are from Munich, which is not too far away, we know the area fairly well. It's definately rural here but as said before, you are fairly quickly in Munich from Landshut and there are buses from Essenbach to Landshut on a regular basis. So if you need the big city from time to time you can get your fix. Munich offers a lot, be it arts, music or if you just want to hang out in this great city. Please ensure you read our requirements before you take us on your Hotlist. We do get a lot of applications and we appreciate that but unfortunately the majority do not fit our profile at all.
