Au Pair job description

We have only one child who goes to school from 8:40 am to 3:00 pm every day, and the work is very light! We are looking for au pair who has a genuine interest in chid care and love the nature of the job. If you are .. do write to us! Our criteria are: pleasant personality, kind at heart, serious at work, responsible and honest, willing to comply with the needs of the family, and willing to do flexible hours. Main duties include preparing simple healthy meal for the child, school drops and pick ups, attending and caring during play groups and classes, helping with learning numbers, and alphabets, drawing and other activities, and light house work (washing up dishes, cleaning, laundry and ironing, general tidy up). You need to have a genuine interest in child care! References are essential.

Family's Message to Au Pairs

Dear au pair, We are a loving family of 3. We are well-educated and work full time but also have a fairly busy social life. We are out going, flexible and have a lot of family values. Our little girl, Halyna, is a lively, loving, energetic 4.5 years old. She is very sociable and loves fun and activities. She goes to school 5 times a week (8:40am-3:00pm), and a dance class once a week. We are looking for a kind, patient, honest and reliable au-pair with a pleasant personality to join our family and help care for our 4 years old while we are at work; someone for whom the child comes first. We seek an au pair who has genuine interest in a development and wellbeing of a child and has experience with children. It is important that you are adaptable and flexible to changes and have a great sense of responsibility! Please be advised that this is more than a 'baby sitting' post and does require you to have sole charge of a child when parents are away. It is required that you are flexible with the hours; on occasion, we may require you to cover 2-3 hours later than the usual time a week when mum and dad is busy at work. We do not accept an au pair who smokes. It is required that you arrange your own visa and pay for own travel expenses. A reasonable level of English would be a definite advantage, but we are keen and willing to help you improve you language skill if required, and there is time for you to attend language school if you wish. There is a college nearby (walking distance) and English courses for EU members are free. There are many other courses too. We have a 4 bedroom house in which we can provide a separate bedroom for you and a television. We live in a town called Swindon, an hour drive from London, in the south of England. Swindon has fantastic parks and is easily commutable to many places of interest such as Bristol, Oxford, London, Bath, Stonehenge, Brighton, etc. We do family activities over the weekends. We hope you become an extended part of our family and do family things with us. However we do respect we all need some time to ourselves.
