Nanny job description

Looking for an optimistic, energetic, happy, organized and neat nanny to help me with my three children. They are very active, wonderful and well behaved children aged 9, 6 and 3 (almost 4). The oldest two are in school which begins again on August 25th while the youngest goes to pre-school from 9:00 until 12:00.

Family's Message to Nannies

I work regularly Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 7:00 pm, own my own business and only travel occasionally (every 6-8 weeks) for a duration of 3-4 days. Your regular day would consist of helping me get the children ready for school, cooking meals for them and being at home when the bus drops them off. The oldest two children would either take the bus to school which picks them up in front of our home or I will usually take them to school. I would need you to drive the youngest to pre-school on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:00 and pick him up at 12:00. At times in which they are not in school, I would ask that you take them to their activities (soccer, gymnastics, dance) or keep them active playing in our yard, at a park, reading, etc. as I am not a big fan of television. We live in a very nice golf course community in Eastern North Carolina which is 30-40 minutes from the beautiful beaches and walking distance (end of our block) to our country club and pool. New Bern is a quiet, small town of only 30,000 people - very different from where I grew up outside of New York City. We travel often as a family and I would ask that you be able to travel with us on summer and winter vacations to Disney World, the beach, skiing, New York City to visit family, and other places. Our home is very comfortable and you would have a private room and bath room upstairs and a vehicle for use (Jeep or Land Cruiser). The house is cleaned by a professional company although I would expect that you keep an orderly and neat home for the children. I believe in a lot of fun, dancing and silliness, but also a structured schedule, ordered home, polite behavior and discipline for the children. Because of my position in the community, I need to legally pay your taxes and ensure you are working under a legal visa. Their mother, my ex-wife, lives around the corner from me (.2 miles or 1/2 km), but has alcohol and prescription drug addictions and cannot be with the children unattended. She is bi-polar and can be a distraction to the children and will likely cause difficulty for the nanny at times. However, the children are very well adapted under the circumstances and easy to care for. We look forward to speaking with you further about our wonderful position!
