| Hi there! I have found a wonderful family in Spain so I am not currently looking for an au pair job. However I will be looking for a nanny position in or around Hanover, NH starting in late June/July 2009. I would prefer a live in position but I do have a place to live on campus. I'm available whenever I'm not in classes, which are usually from 9am-12pm but they can be as late as 2pm and as early as 8am. I might also have to work during the weekends for . Thank you for considering me! Here's my info:
During my time as a student at Dartmouth College I was part of the Big Brother Big Sister mentoring program for two years and my little sib was a nine year old girl from a very large family in Vermont. During my senior year of high school I worked as a teacher's assistant at Bartlett Child Care Center taking care of multiple children ages 5-13 everyday when they were out of school from 2-6 p.m. I have also volunteered at St. Jude Children's Research Center and LeBonheur Children's Medical Center for several years throughout high school. My little sister got meningitis when she was a few months old and is severely brain damaged and I have volunteered at the home for disabled children where she lives. I'm not sure how many "years" of childcare experience I have considering I've worked with children ever since since I was 16 so I'll estimate 2-4 years experience on and off.
I participated in track and field in high school and I was on the cheerleading squad. I'm kind of an athletic person so tennis and swimming are extra hobbies for me. I started playing the piano about 11 years ago. I like cooking and learning to cook new things. I like drawing, reading, hiking, and skiing. I am open minded, curious, adventurous, exciting, and happy. I like to do any activity that involves playing with and teaching children. I hope to hear from you! |
