Au Pair/Nanny job description

All of our children go to the same school. The aupair will need to help getting everyone ready, fed, lunches packed and sometimes take them to school by 8 o'clock. The morning can be off. At times the youngest will be picked up by noon, all are done by 2 PM. In the afternoons someone always has an activity to be at, usually back in town. We need the aupair to help with driving the children and supervising them, or staying at home with the others. We are very physically active, our boys all play soccer, the older 2 competetively- they go to North Las Vegas for games, and sometimes require travel to Utah, California, etc. The children, when home, like to "just have fun". There is always someone around to play with, and no boredom to be found here. The bulk of the the help needed is in the afternoons and evenings. We also have a full time housekeeper here during the day.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

Dear Nanny- we are a LOUD, vivacious family with 3 boys and one girl. I am originally from Germany, and have been in the US since 1994. My husband is a busy attorney, with his own practice. He works hard, but is able to take the time to coach all of our boys in soccer, and play on his own team as well. I need help getting the children to school in the mornings, running errands without them sometimes and help with the boys in the afternoons. We have a large property, the children like to play outside, love art, reading books, and need some homework help for 9-year-old and 7-year-old. In the afternoons, we have music, soccer, foreign language, science club, or such. We are very much in need of a "go-getter" who helps and chips in with little guidance. We need you to be outgoing and energetic, and willing to be out and about with up to 4 children. However, much of the time you will have mom there or around to help, too. This is not a job for you if you crave peace and quiet. Also, there is a lot of help for you during the day, which can be good or bad. There may be times when you can go ahead and take an unexpected day, or afternoon off. We have a VW convertible available for you. On the weekends we are generally busy with soccer games. If we have a free weekend, we like to go to California and visit Grandma in San Diego and hang out at the beach. Boulder City is 20 minutes from Las Vegas, which is famous for great entertainment, but also offers many fun things to do for us as a family.
