Nanny's Message to Families

I am a caring, responsible female. I love children and am very good with them. I have 4 siblings, 3 who are younger. I previously lived in Europe for 3 years (Italy and Spain). I speak English, Italian and Spanish fluently. I have a B.A. in Theatre & Spanish from Yale University and a M.A. in Spanish Language & Culture from NYU. I studied Italian at Yale and in Italy and plan to also get my M.A. in Italian. Eventually I would like to teach Spanish and Italian in the United States and/or teach English in Italy (which I've already done). I am creative and fun-loving. Children like me and parents feel safe with me. I have lived and worked in Rome and Umbria. I know and understand much about Italian culture. I have family in Rome and have also visited many Italian cities, including: Amelia, Assisi, Bari, Bologna, Firenze, Genova, Modena, Napoli, Padova, Parma, Pisa, Perugia, Possitano, Rimini and more. I have references, including people currently in Italy. I am flexible, extremely organized and an excellent teacher (I come from a family with lots of teachers). I have taught English and Theatre to children. I prefer to work with school aged children (5 - 14 years). I'd like to have some free time during the day and on weekends to explore and study Italian. I would like to take an Italian class during the day several times a week if one exists (and when the children are at school). If not, I am self-motivated and will study on my own.
