- Hello! I l am currently living in Gilbert, AZ. I have obtained a great job at , but am not recieving the hours I need, So I am seeking something a little bit different. I am looking more toward a part time nanny job in the evenings when I am not working at I love adventure and would love to travel. Please read my profile, and if I sound like a match, and your the adventurous family that is searching for me, a great nanny… I am 22 and I have many of years babysitting and nannying experience already. I love taking care of children and animals of any kind. I also love to cook and would love the opportunity to cook whenever the need be. I am a very laid back kind of person, and I would like to work for a laid back family. I believe that kids should be given structure, but with wide boundaries and lots of positive reinforcement. I grew up in a country environment, and my boundaries were wide. I appreciate a family who knows exactly what they want and need, and are comfortable communicating that to me. If you make your expectations clear, it makes it easier for me to make you happy and for all of us to be comfortable. If you want me to do the breakfast dishes before I drive the kids to school instead of after, please let me know. And understand when I run out of time - I will do my very best. It's also good for the parents to agree on what their expectations are. I like consistency as much as your kids do. I am not another parent, I am an aide. I appreciate feedback so that I can be the best child care provider I can be. I admit it, I can stuff things sometimes, so communication and comfort in commucation is important to me. I love to travel, so if that can be a part of my new job... I would be thrilled! I love to baby-sit and nanny, I think that kids sometimes teach the adults, just like the adults teach the kids. I was born in Arizona, and my grandparents still live in Mesa. I moved to and was raised in Oregon when I was a toddler. Right now I am in Arizona. I like to read fantasy and science fiction books and novels (think Harry Potter), I love board games, I love going to the movies, I love animals and caring for them. I also love to do bead work and make jewelry. I grew up in the country, so I have lived on a small farm all my life. I love adventure and I am a certified under water scuba diver... I have travelled to the Yucatan Penninsula, Greece, and all over the Western United States. I have spent the three summers working with the Youth Conservation Corps doing preservation work in the woods all over the Northwest, with Northwest Youth Corps. I am not afraid of hard work, and love new activities. I've also spent several summers caring for/nannying my 11 year old cousin (with ADHD). Growing up my family provided relief foster care for emotionally disturbed children, so I have some basic skills in dealing with problem behavior. I also volunteered throughout high school in the Lunch Buddy program, partnering with elementary kids for lunch and homework help. My hobbies include: beadwork and jewelry making (amateur), reading (science fiction and fantasy are my favorites), cooking, playing clarinet, being outdoors/camping, scuba diving, fishing, and I love to go to the movies. I was certified CPR/Firstaid, but It has expired and needs to be renewed. I am a certified open water diver. I have a clean driving record and a Arizona Driver License.
