| Dear Aupair, if you want to be a part of our family please do not hesitate to get in contact with us. It would be great if we could get to know eachother soon as possible. We had already aupairs before and we experience(d) the time with our previous aupairs (Jane from Australia and Catlin and Andrea from the USA) as wonderful and precious time. Jane and Catlin have been here for a whole year and we have the impression that this is a good time to get to know each other and that it should not be much shorter. Kate our current aupair from the USA will stay with us until summer 2009). For Germany you do not need a visum. Maybe a little german knowledge would help to get the work and residence permit for you, but it does not matter if you have no german knowledge until know. You will live in the annex of our house with your own bathroom, little kitchen, balcony, TV (satellite), CD-player and PC (with free internet access). The next bigger cities are easily accessible by train (12min.) (station is five minutes on foot). We can make our car available to you from time to time for your free time activities. It is also possible that visitors (e.g. your parents, siblings or friends) come to visit you for some time in your house. We have a lot of nature and beautiful lakes around. You might attend language courses and the sports club. You are also invited to join us during our hollidays or family excursions and you will be insured, if you are not, against accidents and sickness. Your pocket money will be 260.- Euro per month (that is the usual salery in the European Union for aupairs).
About our family and the place we live: Our family consists of two gorgeous children, Emma Sophie (5 years) and Paul Luis (almost 7 years) and two happy parents, Claudia (37) and Torsten (39). Our children are lively but well-behaved. We live together in a house with five rooms in a bigger village (around 10,000 inhabitants) in the north of germany (20 min. to Kiel (at the Baltic see) and one hour distance to Hamburg in the south, Denmark in the north and the North Sea in the west). We have a nice lake here and beautiful nature around. I am a physician and work about three days a week at the university in Kiel. Torsten is physicist and works as a teacher in a grammar school. The house has a nice yard for the children to play outside. Emma Sophie is Monday to Friday half of the day in kindergarten and Paul Luis in school, which he really loves. We love the nature, sport and music, though we do not have much time for these hobbies at the moment as we try to spend as much time as possible with our children.
We are looking forward to get to know you soon! Yours family with Emma Sophie, Paul Luis, Claudia und Torsten :-)
rest of Au Pair Job Description: We deliberately try to find an natively english-speeking aupair, because we want you also to teach our children english in a playful way. Both kids got during the last two years with our english-speeking aupairs already quite familiar with the language and understand a lot. Paul Luis also starts to talk in english. We are furthermore looking for someone who likes to cook and does not mind a little house cleaning, particularly concerning the kitchen and the childrens areas. We also have a cleaning lady who helps us especially with the bathrooms and floors. We enjoyed with our previous aupairs to get to know more about their culture and we learned about the great possibility to make friends on the other side of the world. Although we want you to be part of the family, you also can feel independent and enjoy your time off. Here are many possibilities for you to make friends and there is a monthly aupair meeting nearby. |
