Au Pair's Message to Families

Dear Family, My name is Eileen and i am currently an au pair living in the Bay Area of California. I came to the united states last year in September so that I can proudly say I am comfortable with the language and speak English fluently. Right now I am taking care of two lovely girls (3 and 10 years) and I have a lot of fun with them. But when my year is over, here, I would like to make some new experiences in a new family because I am a very open-minded, outgoing person. Besides that I would consider myself as a fun loving and active type. I like outdoor activities and I appreciate all kinds of sport. I gained some of my childcare experiences in germany of course. I had a practical training in a pre school for over 2 month and I was babysitting my cousin for approximately 2 years. In addition to that I joined a horse sports club where I was practicing and teaching gymnastic on a horseback, which is one of my favorite sports. I have been doing this for a couple years and it was always a lot fun and I appreciated to be the one who teaches kids something new. The average age of the kids was between 6-12 and so the group became something like a family to me. I am looking for a family that shares the same kind of values and likes to have a little cultural exchange. I am willing to take good care of your kids but I also consider the household duties as a part of my job and I wouldn’t mind to do more beyond that (like grocery shopping, laundry, dishes, vacuum). Since I am german I made my drivers license in Germany (which is not that easy and pretty expensive) and I also have an California drivers license.
