Au Pair/Nanny job description

The Au Pair that does live with us is asked to pick up our son Eugen from the elementary shool at noon and to have a look at him during the afternoon (3 days a week). We are expecting our son to further improve his english skills. Of course there is some smaller houswork to be done from time to time such as vac-cleaning and tydieng up.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

Dear Au Pair, we are a family of 3 and are looking for a warm and honest person to stay and live with our family from June/July 2008 onward. We have not had an Au Pair living with our family before but from our own experience (my husband and I also had the possibility to visit families abroad when we finished shool) we do know how important it is to feel as a member of a familiy - in particulary while staying far far away from home during a longer time. That is why we do provide a own room and sanitary installations at the basement in our house. The kitchen would need to be shared. We have a so called VHS Shool in town where your language skills may be improved. the next larger city Darmstadt is to be reached in 20 min by bike or 15 min by tram. We have smaller hills here with old castles. There is a lot to discover over here and friends of outdoor acivities will love it here. Our family of 3 lives in the small city of Griesheim which is very close to the city of Darmstadt (120.000 population). Our son Eugen (6) is a schoolstarter from August onward and has joined up to now an international preschool where he already picked up a lot of english. He is very creative and does possess a blooming imagination. My husband Michael (37) and I (37) are running a smaller familyowned food-import company and do source a lot from NZ. We live in our own house and do have lot of neighbours with children. Oh, we also have a dog who is very very active but also very kind and a good chap for all the neighborhood.
