| I am a university graduate wishing to live abroad before re-entering the professional world. A little about myself...I grew up in Memphis, Tennessee and recently graduated from the University of Mississippi where I studied accountancy. I spent one year and two summers on exchange at the College of Charleston. I consider myself an independent, friendly, outgoing, dedicated, and passionate person. I enjoy all sorts of things: meeting new people, working out, sailing, reading, and traveling just to name a few. Cooking is another passion of mine. I was able to pick up a great deal in the kitchens of the many fine dining restaurants in which I have worked; a month does not pass that I don't entertain friends with a dinner party.
Since August 2007 I have served as nanny, personal assistant, and house manager to a very high-profile family in the Washington, DC area. I am responsible for the care of their 14 year old daughter which includes transporting her to and from school, ensuring she complete her homework each night, and coordinating and keeping a schedule of her various activities. The lady of the house is owner and CEO of a $50 million dollar business based in NYC. She works out of her home in DC 60% of the time; the remainder of the time she spends in New York City. I serve as her personal assistant during the day while the daughter is at school. As household manager, I am responsible for the two full-time housekeepers at the Washington, DC home and one full-time housekeeper at their weekend home in Middleburg, VA. I coordinate all repairs and construction projects at both homes. During my first two months on the job, I oversaw a half-million dollar renovation and redecoration of the dining and formal living room. During the day, I am also responsible for all errands and grocery shopping. On average I prepare 3 or more of the family meals per week, especially while both the father and mother are away on business. I enjoy all of the challenges that come with my job and I take them seriously.
I am looking for a loving, warm family to work with. If you believe that I would be pleased to care for your children and/or your home, please do not hesitate in contacting me. I am most excited about my next endeavor. I am available beginning July 2008 and I look forward to hearing from you.
