| I think being a 'stay at home mom' is the most important job there is. Unfortunatly, it just isn't possible today for alot of moms. For those in this situation, I understand it is scary to leave your children with total strangers. I had to do it also, and my heart goes out to you. I promise as your nanny, to protect and respect your little ones in the same way I wanted for my own. I am the mother of a 35 yr. old son and a 2 1/2 yr. old grandson. I know first hand how very much our children are loved and cherished. I know how closely my little grandson needs to be watched and it is my joy to do it. It will be my first priority to keep your child/children safe and let them know that they are important to me and that I will 'care' for them while you are away, the same as I do for my own grandson.
At 56 I may sound too old to some of you to keep up with your children. Let me assure you that I am in great physical shape and my age hasn't hindered me in any endeavor yet; just one of the 'many' ways God has blessed me! I am very active and love doing fun, active things. I love to ride motorcycles in the desert, work out, hike Squaw Peak, ride bikes, play pool, etc.. I also enjoy helping to feed and supply needed items for the homeless in Tempe and spending time with them. On the other hand, I also love to watch children's minds learn and see the accomplishment on their faces as they soar to new heights on their skateboards, or hear the little ones catch their breath as they swing on a swing for the first time.
I have been a part-time nanny for 7 yrs. here in the valley for 2 different families. I was with the first family (an attorney and her husband) for 3 yrs., and the second family for 4 yrs. (bridal photographers). There were several children in each family. I have also been a volunteer in the church nursery and with the 2 & 3 yr. olds class once a month for 2 years and have been a volunteer mentor for a 10 yr. old girl for one yr.. I work temporary nanny positions through a local nanny service I am registered with, and also have the pleasure of taking care of my grandson every Sunday after church so my kids can go out.
I use to be a pet sitter, so I have been finger printed. I use to work in pet shops and was a dog groomer so I am comfortable around animals. I am CPR and first aid certified. I can swim, but am not a 'strong' swimmer. I would love and care for a handicapped child if taught what to do.
I have been coloring architectural renderings for 26 yrs., and I also clean houses. It is my own business. I have an Asscociates degree in Interior Design.
I am looking for a loving, kind family who desires to instill the importance of character, respect and good family values in their home.
I look forward to hearing from you, and caring for your children while you are not able to.
Thankyou for your time and consideration! |
