Nanny's Message to Families

Hello family! I am going back to school - grad school at IUPUI! I will be moving there this August and am looking for a daytime position as all of my classes are in the evenings. I am an experienced child care worker - I have worked with kids in many capacities since I was about thirteen. Most recently I have spent three years working as an Outdoor Educator teaching students in grades K-12 science, living history, outdoor skills, and environmental studies. I have 8 years of summer camp experience, 9 years experience teaching Sunday School to toddlers, and 1 year classroom experience as a first grade teacher's aide. I was also an Aupair for one year in Germany. While in Germany, I lived with a family with two boys (aged 2 and 4) and a little girl (born 2 months after I got there). I spoke English with the children to help them learn and spent most of my time taking care of the baby as her brothers spent more time at pre-school. I have experience with kids from newborn to whatever! I especially love the little ones becuase they are so fun! I am, however, also willing to work with older children and help with homework, etc. I am very friendly and can be quite outgoing (though in occasional situations I can be a bit reserved). I am also flexible and laid-back. I can cook, clean and do laundry! I love being outdoors and also reading, crocheting, and baking. Feel free to write to me for more information.
