Au Pair/Nanny job description

Greetings from beautiful Denver, Colorado! We are a busy family with three kids that is seeking your help! Our current nanny is returning to college in August and we're seeking a new nanny for the position. You will get the kids off to school and pick them up, drive them to soccer and above all keep them safe and happy! The hours are somewhat flexible, but we do require a live-in situation due to mom and dad working opposing hours -we need the stability of a live-in nanny for the children's morning and afternoon activities. You will be responsible for their supervision, light housework & simple meals. You will need to drive on a daily basis, so your driving should be confident and safe. You will have your own bedroom and share a large bath with the kids. We will give you use of our car if you do not have one, and some gas $$ if you do have your own car. We will also provide you with a cell and competitive salary for the job based on the calculator on this site.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

Dear New Nanny; PLEASE VISIT OUR PHOTO GALLERY BUTTON ON THE LEFT.... We are a family with 3 kids - Nora age 7, William age 5.5 and Vivi age 2.5! They're all independent, healthy & very active. The youngest is potty trained so that is a bit easier for you! We are looking for an American nanny or foreign au pair that is legal to stay in America at least a few months. We will be using an agency next time, but right now we are under a time restriction and need to have a new nanny in place within a month. We're looking for someone to join our family as a child caregiver and as a friend. Our children's happiness is our #1 concern and should be yours as well. Mom works days and Dad works nights, but one of us is usually home. The stability of our kids' schedule is very important to us and that is why we chose a nanny situation for our family. We did not want our children in daycare where they are separated by age. It is very important to us that the siblings stay together as a family unit. We need an active nanny. Our kids play soccer, baseball, enjoy rollerblading and swimming and will not be happy with an au pair that is less than active. We are a warm family where you will feel at home with a private bedroom on our second floor, cell phone, car use (with license) and free time to attend a few classes. All this and the fabulous environment of Denver, Colorado! We want to ski again this winter and you are welcome to join us on the slopes. Our nanny is viewed as part of the family and should feel comforable teaching us about her family traditions. The most important thing that our nanny or au pair can impart on our children is the feeling of self-respect and confidence. Discipline comes with this, we believe, so you should be firm about the rules and boundaries, but never demeaning to my kids! We want ouur nanny to share in family meals, feel comfortable with our pets, loving towards our kids and talk openly with Bill and I. You will get lots of laughs and love in our home!
