Nanny's Message to Families

Hi! My name is Rachel and I hope to be a part of your family! A little about me, I was raised in Southern California, but have traveled (and not stopping anytime soon!) quite a bit both nationally and internationally. It is definitely one of my passions!! I have loved kids ever since I can remember (my mom likes to joke that I would never want to play with friends my own age, but rather their little brothers and sisters!), and therefore have decided that I would like to have a full time career with them. !! Previously I was a nanny for two different families (the part where it says "years of previous childcare experience is tricky: I was a NANNY for only 2 years which is what I put, but I have had babysitting experience for over 10, so pick whichever you like!), one in Europe and one here on the east coast. They both impacted me profoundly and you can read more in depth about those experiences in my online interview. I love to be outside, walking, hiking, swimming, sports, etc. I also love to learn. I think I will always be a student of some sort!! I believe that since kids nowadays will shape the world in the future, they need the foundation to be able to successfully do that, and I want to be a part of that. I want to be able to change the life of a family and their children with my love for all life has to offer. A few specifics: I have had experience with large families (the more the merrier in my opinion!), multiples and newborns. I am recertifying myself in first aid, CPR and lifeguarding (can never be too safe) and am extremely comfortable in water situations. I am very organized and a self-starter, so I will always have fun things planned for the kids, from museums, parks, sports, to good old fun at home! No help needed!
