Au Pair's Message to Families

Hello! Thanks for looking at my profile! I'm sure everyone says this but I really do love kids! I just came home from mission work in Thailand & Myanmar and might be heading back in Jan. '09. I would love to work for a family while I am home. A little bit about my experience: During college, I also did a lot of childcare for several families. I am First Aid Certified and Lifeguard trained! I was a camp counselor for kids ages 8-10. In addition to caring for small children, I have also worked as a residential counselor working with troubled teens. There my role included taking kids to and from school, preparing all meals for 8-12 people, grocery shopping, doctor's appointments and also creating a warm, fun, family environment for the residents. My house of girls also cared for 12 horses. We were in charge of feeding, grooming and cleaning their stalls and barn facilities. Riding also came as a bonus!
