Au Pair/Nanny job description

Live in, full time position with flexible hours and several benefits. We are looking for a fun, assertive, active girl who loves children. Some experience is required but desire and life experiences count even more. I am very hands-on mom because I love children. We would like to find someone to co-parent with me workinf as a team player. Three of the children are in school 5 days all day. Some evenings and Saturdays are required. This is a good position for someone interested in taking courses either evenings or during the day. Co-parenting means jumping in when needed. Driving children to and from school or other activities. Helping with laundry and maintaining childrens rooms. Light housekeeping and basic childcare ie. changing diapers, bathing, dressing. This approach works best when done as a team. We are a young, energetic, and loving family looking for a responsible, honest creative and outgoing nanny who enjoys having fun and loves children. We want you to be a life long part of our family not just an employee. I am a stay at home mom who absolutely loves caring for our children. We feel blest to have been given 5 little angels. We need someone who is use to a busy household. Never a dull moment, always a lot of life! Structure is important to all of us. We are strict yet very loving. You must be able to dicipline using words and actions (time-outs work great along with natural consequences). Our children are very well behaved and thrive on knowing what is expected of them. We live in Hingham, Ma. just 15 miles south of Boston. It is a beautiful historical town with a lot of charm. The town has just built one of Massachusetts largest outdoor malls. There are movie theatres, restaurants and plenty to see and do close by. Your living arrangments are spacious, new and separate, providing plenty of privacy. You will have use of a new Ford explorer as well. We feel the key to a successful relationship is open communication. It is very important that everyone feels comfortable speaking what's on their mind good or bad. We hope that you will be kind and patient. You must be firm when you need to be. Our sons can challenge you at times. They are generally a lot of fun filled with bounds of energy and love. They will warm your heart and fill your soul with love. Mass. is a 4 season state with a lot of seasonal activities. We make the best of all seasons. We really recommend that you enjoy the outdoors and the variety of activities that go with that. Such as, swimming, trips to the beach, pool, walks in the conservation land, biking, ice skating, skiing, sledding, berry picking, visits to the museum etc. The boys all love to be outdoors! We fill the whole year with different and colorful adventures! This is an excellent position for a Nanny that wants to take classes in the fall.
