Au Pair/Nanny job description
We are looking for a live in or out personal assistant to help our 20 year old mentally handicapped son after summer school in the afternoons and all day long when summer school is finished in late July. Hours would be more when summer school is finished. Exact hours would vary per week. This is an ideal job for a high school or college student. We need someone who swims so they can supervise him at the local pool. Don't let his age scare you, he is only 5'5 and weighs about 120 pounds and is very good natured and definitely looks much younger. He is very loving and non-aggressive. We can provide references from our previous aupairs who all fell in love with him and would obviously provide more information about his handicaps. The job would entail, helping him with jobs around the house, self-help skills, sports skills, reading, music, etc. as well as driving him to outside activities. We also have a tandem bicycle he loves riding.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies
Hello prospective aupair or nanny:

You will find us a welcoming family. We have had aupairs through the Aupaircare program for 16 years and would still have one now, but the official US Aupair program will not place aupairs with a child over 18. The aupair program has been a wonderful program and we have a large extended family of former aupairs. In fact we just returned from a trip to Europe where we visited four former aupairs. We have had a wonderful American live-in student this past summer.

We would be happy to consider housing someone on an F-1 visa, but unfortunatly can't help anyone obtain a J-1 visa since the Aupair programs won't make an exception to the age rule. PLEASE don't contact us if you need a J-1 cultural exchange visa.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
