Nanny's Message to Families

Dear family, My name is Henry ... Costa Rican Citizen, who lives in Costa Rica! I'm 37 years old, non smoker or drinker... I am a caring, reliable, responsible, honest, and hard working person... sometimes words are not enough to describe something such complex as a person... from my point of view... what it matters is the person itself... its values!... I'm looking to work or a position in another country as a Caregiver, Male Nanny, Au Pair or related duties... An important portion of my work experience (past and current) are childcare related duties as to mention (caregiver, male nanny(Manny), teacher's assistant)... I have worked as live in/out locally and in Florida, USA as well... As for my children related work experience here in Costa Rica I can mention the following: I have been working for a professional couple living in Alajuela, Costa Rica... they have a cute, bright, smart, and above all... A FULL OF ENERGY... 18 months old baby boy!... For the time that I have provided my services... I have been assisting/helping them with the baby's care... mostly when asked (working hours as required)... or on call... as for babysitting or nanny duties related to the boy... Besides the above... I had a temporary position at a Montessori Kindergarten/pre-school... I was the Montessori teacher's Assistant in one of their classrooms... this center is located in town... even though my time there was little... it was a nice and enjoyable experience!... I got to know the basics of the Montessori Education System... as I didn't knew what it was Montessori before!... Previously... I worked at a Daycare/School (I covered a maternity leave time)... while there... I was in charge for the Home/School group (a classroom with school age boys and girls)... this Daycare Center is sponsored in part by the Salvation's Army... located in town as well... Also... I was employed for a retired USA couple, who were educators in Florida, USA... I was their manager/caregiver for 2 years and 4 months (2005-2007)... also, I was the caretaker for their grandaughter (27 months old at the time)in late 2006 ( these duties were only for 7 weeks)as she was here just visiting grandparents!... As for my caretaking/position in USA... I have to mention that... I worked for 2 years and 8 months(2001-2003) for a family with an school age boy in Florida, USA... For the above... I can provide with references... I can also provide with clean Police/criminal record checks from Costa Rica and USA... all are available upon request!... I took a Childcare course (children 0-2 years old) at a local University (Universidad de Costa Rica) then last July/2008... I finished my second course on Childcare for Caretakers also from the same University... Then... I took another course related to the learning process in children... preschool/school age groups which I finished late November, 2007... it's called ' The Art of Learning' I am CPR Certified/Trained(AHA) at Santa Paula's University in Curridabat-San José-Costa Rica. I completed my High School education(GED diploma) in Florida, USA. I have an 8 years plus safe/clean driving record.... but, I know to drive automatic shift vehicles only! Besides the above... I have been engaged in the acting business here in Costa Rica (films, short film, and TV projects)... well my first acting roll was as part of the casting in several scenes of a Motion Picture that was shooted here in Costa Rica in late 2006 ' starring Actor Damian Alcazar... Besides... I have had the opportunity to be in three short film projects... This year so far... I have been twice... as an Extra... acting for a local Costa Rica's TV show comedy... Then in late July and last October 2008 I have had acting parts as an Extra for two local feature films from Costa Rica's Director Hernan Jimenez... this is a very excited field for me as well and I keep looking forward for more acting opportunities!... In general... I'm looking for a nice family from abroad who could be able to offer me a sponsorship/Job and a nice experience abroad and hopefully that could be able to assist me with my travel expenses as well!... I'm looking for a live in situation... open to negociate salary, etc. So... if that's you...
