| Job Description Continued:
During your work day the children that are home need to be fed lunch and dinner. If Mom and Dad are home and don't have plans we ask that you make a little extra during meals. Aside from the laundry (cleaning and putting away) for the whole family daily (We would encourage you to teach the kids to fold and put away their own.) the only housework we would ask of you is during your work day: damp mopping the kitchen after dinner if needed. The kids take care of wiping the counters and table and vacuuming after meals. We just ask that you be sure the kids have completed their tasks by 6pm. In addition to their after school activities, the kids love to color, draw, do workbooks, use the computer & play outside and with the neighbors or go to the park or beach (1/4 mile), or to our club and on our boat (<1mile). We usually make a few trips to Bridgehampton during the year to visit Jamie’s father who lives near the ocean and a trip to Black Lake, NY to visit his mother who has some cabins on a small island there. We also spend a week in the Outer Banks of North Carolina at Emily’s family’s beach house on the ocean. This year we took the kids skiing and they loved it so we anticipate doing some more of that this coming winter. As far as vacation time off and expenses go, if you stay with us for a year we will pay for your round trip air fare. We will also give you two weeks paid vacation and four paid days off for holidays. Pay for vacation and holidays will be made at the end of each year. We will accept an AuPair that smokes but do not allow smoking in the house, cars or in front of our childern as we are a non-smoking family.

Our kids lead very active lives. Ali (10 1/2) plays Hockey, Soccer, Lacrosse, Tennis, Baseball, Modern Dance, Swimming, Rollerblading, Sailing, Windsurfing. JT (8) plays Hockey, Soccer, Lacrosse, Tennis, Baseball, Swimming, Rollerblading, Sailing and is close on Ali's heals whenever they are together. Ashleigh (7) does Ballet, Modern Dance, skating and loves to play along whenever she can. Annie (5) does Ballet and is very active and loves playing with her brother and sisters. We live in a 6 bedroom house with a big back yard, play set, a double tree swing, & trampoline, 400 feet from the water. We have a finished third floor with a bedroom and full bath for you. Rye is a beautiful little town on Long Island Sound less than 35 minutes from New York City. It is very accessible by car or by train. One of the nicest things about Rye is the fact that everything is within walking or biking distance. We (Jamie & Emily) work from home and in our city developing property. Jamie works from the 3rd floor and Emily in the master suite on the second floor. We are always close by and reachable if there ever is anything that comes up. The kids have a big playroom on the ground floor which is attached to the laundry area and the mudroom which walks out on to the driveway. Jamie coaches two hockey teams (Ali's & JT's) and plays on four others. The kids love going to the rinks when ever games are not too late. We think you will find that we are very easy people to get along with and very fair at the same time. We want you to feel comfortable and be yourself, just like you were in your own home.
