| I am an Asian female currently staying in Salmon Arm, BC, Canada. I have been attending Certified Education Assistant program at the college here in the evening and at the same time I looked after a little girl for 6 months during the day. (My courses will done on Dec 2nd, 2009)
I really enjoyed working for the family I lived with for the past 6 months. I was happy that they were happy and statisfied with what I did. I felt attached with the girl I looked after. It was nice to see how she grew and developed her ability to talk. I was also glad that the family offered me a chance to stay with them until the mom delivered a baby. Even after my job was done, I still like to be with them and play and care for the girl and the baby. I feel like they are part of my family and treated me as part of their family. It is hard to leave them but I am glad that I had a chance to meet them. I will miss them!
Now I am looking for other family to work for. Here is the description of me.
I am caring, decent and honest. I love working with children. I am a responsible person and I can be counted on to get the job done. I always try to demonstrate my best in my work. So I will do my best to take care of the children and do the light house work. I experience cleaning around my house, doing the laundry, ironing and occasionally cooking.
I have joined child care provider training that was conducted for 2 days at International SOS Training Department Jakarta and equipped myself with first aid skills. Also, I attended two-day standard first aid training that comes along with the CEA program I am attending. I like to read inspirational books and to learn new things like learning to play piano for instance. Also, I like listening to music and going for a walk.
I had experience as a teacher at a school where English is used as a means of communication. I taught 5-6 year old children for four years back here in my home town. Then I taught third graders for a year. For the past 6 months (Jul -Dec 2008) I was working as a private tutor and substitute teacher.
The salary is negotiable, although I state the amount of salary expected every week. The most important thing to me is that I feel comfortable / welcome in the family that I work for.
