Au Pair's Message to Families

Dear family, My name is Irem. I was born and raised in Denizli which is a peaceful and green town in Aegean part of Turkey . I was born on 13 February 1988 and I am 20 years old. I came to Istanbul for my study at university. I have been studying in Graphic Design at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts Faculty. In the future I would like to be a art designer. I have decided to be an au pair because I love children and I believe I have got very good experiences with them. I am also family oriented. I strongly believe in family values and maintain a very strong bond with my family. Both my parents are retired. I have a brother who is 25 years old. He is technician and works in an architect that children are the most valuable things for families. While you bring them up, I want to be the part of it. It is very exciting. I would like to care for children because I love children and spending time with them. I am so cheerful and warm-hearted that I can communicate with children very easily. They also love to spend their time with me because of my creativeness, I can find activities, games etc so they have some fun. When I was in Denizli I took care of our neighbor’s son because of his mother’s health problems. I took care of Firat from he was 1 years old to he was 3. I was very responsible and gave my full attention to him. I changed his diapers, clothes, prepared his food, fed him, helped his mother with his bathing and sleeping. I tided his room, did his ironing, etc. I put him in his buggy and took to the park, we played games, made pictures. Our neighbor in Istanbul has got a baby son. He is nearly one and he is so cute. When he was born I started to help his mother. Watching his growth is amazing. I have change his nappies, fed him, helped his bathing, sleeping. Now I often pop in to their home to play with him. I also took care of my uncles’ daughters. One of them is Selin and one of them is Nilay. We did activities like swimming, cycling, painting, going to the park, watching films, playing with dolls. I prepared food for them, helped their dressing, cleaning. I took part of an organization for children. There were activities for children to educate them and entertain them. I taught them how to take pictures, we made heads from dough. They were very talented and I enjoyed being with them. I am interested in art, music and sports. I am going to a violin course. I like taking photos, visiting art galleries, exhibitions and museums. I often do painting and drawing as I like them very much. When I was at secondary school I played handball for 3 years. I also played basketball. I like swimming, going to the cinema, theatre, spending time with my friend. I know my responsibilities and carry out them properly. While taking care of your children, having responsibility is the most important criteria for me. I will always obey your rules. I am helpful not only in childcare but also I can help you in some housework such as cleaning, cooking etc. I am an adaptable, mature, flexible, considerate and happy person.
