Au Pair/Nanny job description

We are looking for a flexible, caring, reliable Au-Pair that would like to take care of our little baby daughter and get to know life in the USA. We expect the Au-Pair to work 40 hours a week, some evenings, some weekends, depending on our plans. We also require some light housekeeping but most of all we want the Au-Pair to play, read, run around, laugh and have fun with our daughter (born January 2009).

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

We are a fun and outgoing German family that just moved to the USA. We live on a beautiful 72 acre property outside the little town of Grand Rapids in Michigan. Please be aware that this is really country style living - out in the woods with deer and turkeys in the backyard! The nearest store is a 10-minutes-drive away. We offer you your own room, help and support with all the questions concerning "living abroad" and of course the cutest little kid to take care of. We hope for an Au-Pair that will participate in our family life, would like to improve its English-skills and is up to a fun adventure. You are not required to speak German - although we will speak German with our daughter in the house. We don't want to go through an agency, so we can only employ an Au-Pair that either is american or has a working visa for the US. Also we prefer somebody that owns a car, because we only have 2 cars.
