Au Pair's Message to Families

Dear host family, my name is Michaela and I´m 24 years old(turning 25 in February 2010). I`ve been living with my family in a small town named Trier, which is the oldest one in Germany. After having passed my A-levels, I completed a traineeship as a medical secretary at a paediatrist. 2006 I moved to Karlsruhe, it´s an other town in the south-west of Germany, due to my academic studies. Since my move I visit the University of Education, because I want to become a primary school teacher. In June 2010 I will graduate from university and before going to the traineeship for student teachers, in February 2011, I want to make a new experience by working as an Au- Pair in a foreign country. Last year, during my summer holidays, I cared for a group of 30 children for two weeks and I had a lot of fun and it was also a great experience. In my free time I like meeting my friends, go shopping, reading a good book, watching films on TV or at the cinema, go swimming and going to the gym. I also like to cook for my friends or my family at home. I´m a friendly, outgoing and independent person, who likes working with children and having a good and amazing time with them. Because of my experience I am very patient and reliable when it comes to taking care of children. I´m looking for a job as an Au-Pair in an English-speaking country, because I like working and spending time with children and I will try to improve my english. I would be happy to get to know a new culture by being your Au-Pair and living in your family.I would be happy about becoming your new Au-Pair for at least 6 months.
