| Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies |
| We live in the state of Virginia, just outside Washington, DC. We want a nanny who will part of our family. Our family is made up of my wife, Keli, our two daughters, Emily (15), Becca (12), and, our son, Noah, who is two-years old. We have two dogs, Reagan & Maggie and me, my name is Scott. Emily is a typical 10th grader. She takes several AP courses and does very well in school. She has suddenly gone from our little girl to our young lady. She is into fashion, computers, cooking and reading. She loves to dance, swim, drama club. You will become a big sister to her. As you get to know our family, we will trust you with your life experiences to help guide Emily through her High School years. Becca is our little sparkplug. Her main goal in life is to play with her friends and make you laugh. She plays basketball and loves to put on a dancin' show. She also enjoys horses and has excelled in swimming. She is managing the transition from Elementary school to Middle school. She will certainly lean on you for friendship and will be your little sister in no time. We are very excited to have Noah (Bubba). Daddy finally has someone to play sports with and have another "man" in the house. He is a very good little boy (so far) ;-). You will have a great time with him. Keli works from home. She works for a telecommunications company as a salesperson. She is a workout fanantic. I work as marketing manager for a construction company. Our dogs are a Golden Retrievers. We have a big yard for them to run. They has many "dog" friends. Your duties will be to help out with Noah. Our girls are self-suffient. They are great at getting ready for school and doing "their own thing." So, you will watch Noah during the day and be a friend and family member in the evening. Your hours will be from 9-5 most days. We will need you to help out occasionally in the evenings. We have had au pairs or nannies for the last seven years. Bronwen, from South Africa, stayed with us for two years. Presently, she is living in London. Our second au pair, Amy is from Canada. She is going to school and still comes to visit. We have had an Au Pair from Germany. Enny went back early. She was accepted to University early. We wish her well as she pursues her education. Lu, our next au pair was from Brazil. She is truely apart of our family and came back to visit us in January '09. Our next nanny, Hannah is from North Carolina. Hannah's husband is a Marine who was serving in Iraq. When he came home she went back to NC. Hannah and her husband, Justin still visit us about once every couple of months. When Justin gets out of the MArines, they are planning to move to northern Virginia. They are due with thier first baby, a girl, who will be named after our girls. We currently have a nanny from Kansas. Her name is Emmy. She has been great and we will miss her. She will returning to Kansas in March 2010 to continue her studies. She has been great with Noah and really has taken advantage of where we live and what the area has to offer. We have had great experiences with all of them. You will find that we are very easy going and we have a great neighborhood. There will be plenty of things to do with our family and with other nannies or au pairs. You will have your own bathroom, bedroom and a place for you to "chill" if you feel the need. We would perfer to find someone already in the States, but are more concerned about finding someone who will fit our family. Hopefully, we will be a great fit for you. We look forward to speaking with you soon. |
