Nanny's Message to Families

Hi, Are you my new family? Let me introduce myself. My name is Rachel. I live in Colorado most my life, and though I don't enjoy shoveling snow for 7 1/2 hrs., I still love the State. I am a Christian, and love my God more than anything. I have been babysitting since I was 13, and have taken care of children since. I have worked in a church nursery setting for 2 years, where I took care of 1 to 5 children between the ages of 1 month to 4 years old. I also babysat children in their house. Usually I had 1 to 4 children between the age of 1 year to 9 years. I babysat a pair of twins for about a month. Sadly, my mother hurt her back and I had to quit my job to take care of her. When I turned 17, I went to Thailand on a 2 week mission trip to an orphan. While there, I was privileged to meet a little girl, who has been my sponsor daughter since then. I returned to Thailand when I was 18 on another 2 week mission trip. In 2009, I was able to go to the orphanage for 4 1/2 amazing months. While there, I worked in rice fields, taught the younger children English, helped cook for all 77 children, and got to spend time with my little girl. I hated returning to the States (although, it is nice to understand what people say). I love to travel, read, and write. I also like to tell storys, and firmly believe that the tv isn't the best entertainment tool for kids. I love animals and enjoy going on outings. I have no problem doing housework or cooking meals. I'm not a French chef, but I can pull my weight in the kitchen. I have a car, a drivers liscence, a clean driving record, and a clean background. I don't smoke, drink, or do drugs. I have a resume, as well as personal and work related referances. I do not mind taking a background check, or anything else that will help you.
