Nanny's Message to Families

Hello Families! I am not looking to be an au pair. I am looking for local everyday babysitting jobs in Columbia/Northeast Columbia, SC. I am open to families looking for an occasional weekend babysitter or families that want someone on certain days every week. I am an extremely responsible with children. I am certified in Infant/Child/Adult CPR & First Aid. I know a lot about water safety and I am a very good swimmer. I swam on my neighborhood's swim team for 12 years. I am a college graduate with a degree in advertising and photography. I previously worked at two different advertising agencies, and then I started my own photography business. I have an extremely flexible work situation where I am able to take on babysitting jobs alongside my photography work. My last regular babysitting job was for 3 boys: ages 6 years, 4 years & 3 months. I picked them up from school and daycare, helped them with homework, played with them and sometimes fixed dinner if the children were too hungry to wait for their parents to come home. I always made sure we cleaned up the messes we made, and kept the house looking better than the way we found it. I would be happy to provide references from families I have babysat for. I still have strong relationships with the families I babysat for over the last 10 years. I volunteer at my church as a "Kid's Club Leader". I am very creative and imaginative and "my kids" remember me for the fun games I invent for them. I feel I am fair and effective when it comes to discipline.
