| Dear Family,
My name is Seán and I'm from County Armagh in Ireland. I've recently graduated from Jesus College in Oxford University with a 2:1 BA in Law, and am currently studying at Law School in London. I have a gap year next year before I join a law firm in London, and can think of no better way to spend it than learning a new culture and hopefully a new language, with a new family.
I'm an honest, thoughtful and considerate individual, who enjoys good conversation and working with children. I would be particularly interested in helping out children with their school work, as this is something I always enjoyed myself, and although I specialised in Law at Oxford, I was fortunate enough to achieved A* grades in all my subjects at school, namely Maths, Additional Maths, Science, English Language and Literature, French, Irish, History, Music, Technology and Design and Religious Studies. This should hopefully demonstrate that I could be useful in helping out your children with their work.
I really enjoy playing sports, especially soccer, basketball and tennis. Music is one of my other favourite hobbies. I play the piano, the flute, the guitar, the banjo and the Irish whistle. Naturally, I would be very interested in playing sport and music with any member of my host family, children or parents!
Along with that, I would naturally be willing to help out with the housework, and other chores that need doing. I would ideally love to meet a family that shared similar interests to me, and who feel I would be a welcome addition to the household.
I hope to hear from you in the future.
With best wishes,
Seán |
